Ashley English has earned degrees in both holistic nutrition and sociology. Life has provided her with numerous career paths, including working as a medical assistant and nutritional consultant, manager of a bed and breakfast, wine and beer sales rep, and baker and caterer.
Additionally, she has worked over the years with a number of non-profit organizations committed to social and agricultural issues and she is currently a member of Slow Food USA.
Ashley, her husband and their young son, along with a menagerie of chickens, dogs, cats, and bees live in Candler, NC, where they are converting their land into a thriving homestead.

It is the end of a most memorable year and with each ending comes a new beginning. But before one can end and the next begin I must say thank you to those who helped make “Where Women Cook” what it is today. Loralee has become a dear friend that has taught me much, shared more, and helped me in ways she may never even realize. Without her, Where Women Cook would not be what we are today.
Loralee has decided that 2012 is a year for change, a year to refocus on her own brand, a year to concentrate on family and enjoy her new home. We will miss her every day and will be forever grateful that she said, “yes” to a stranger.
I wish her much happiness, continued prosperity, and a year filled with only dreams come true.
MAY THIS NEW YEAR TAKE YOU TO PLACES YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN and TEACH YOU THAT WHEN YOU ARRIVE THERE ARE POSSIBILITIES IN ALL THINGS … AND THEN IT WILL HAVE BEEN A YEAR WORTH REMEMBERING!
