Maybe it will inspire me to…who am I kidding?

wow!!!! this is a fantastic giveaway — I would love to win Serena’s new book and I enjoyed the s’mores. I purchased your magazine through Stampington and received it — then I just received another copy from Federal Express (I believe) who left it in a snow drift so it was totally soaked (because the first 16 pages were missing from my other magazine???)
I loved this post entitled “Life on the Prairie is Good.” The photos of the pantry, the aprons, and all of the baked goods were very inspiring. I would use the labels for pantry jars to label gifts of culinary treats I give to friends this year to thank them for all their help at the end of my pregnancy during the holidays.
I bought Serena’s Christmas book late in the summer and spent a lot of time going to second hand stores and estate sales looking for thermos bottles to decorate with! I decorated my porch to look like her friends in the book. Painted a cupboard green and cream and filled it with plaid picnic stuff and fresh greens and of coarse those thermos bottles! Have made her peanut butter balls and I’m going to make the snowball cookies this weekend. She inspires me…..

Oh.. how I loved Serena’s pictures of her home, I would love to win this mixer to give to my sweet daughter this Christmas..she would love it. Thank you for the opportunity.
Serena, love your pantry. Merry Christmas!
I just discovered your blog and love your jar labels. Enter me for the mixer and I’ll keep reading for all your great ideas!
I am so happy I found this website! Besides the absolutely perfect name, I loved reading about frugal and perfect ideas to decorate my home. The teapot is adorable and I clicked on a link that brought me to a story about a woman who kept a Christmas box with her mother’s writing on it until it fell apart, then turned the writing into plates for her and her sisters. I look at my parents’ writing and it is such a part of them and I thought that was a wonderful idea. I am looking forward to reading more!
I have truely enjoyed all the creative ideas of WWC this week and of course the 12 days of Christmas! I am hoping and wishing for this giveaway for my Mother In Law. She is a Farm Chick through and through. She was born and raised on a midwest farm with no indoor plumbing, she was “green” before it was popular, she loves to bake and craft, and best of all I have a Mother In Law who loves to go junkin’ and antiquing with me! I know she would love this mixer and will never buy one herself! I however, am hoping and wishing for all the little Farm Chick goodies, selfishly I would have to keep those for myself Great giveaway, whoever wins sure will be smiling! Happy Holidays and thanks!
I’ve enjoyed reading about Serena. What an inspiration! Her book looks fabulous and I’m going to see if I can find it in my local bookstore. Thanks for all your tips
The Smorescakes are adorable, would be really fun to make them with my girls!
Really liked the Life on the Prairie post.
Thank you so much for this wonderful giveaway!
Your blog is really taking off… Women do spend lots of time in their kitchens! I too, love the peek in the pantry! My kitchen really needs a pantry. A Kitchenaid mixer would look great in a new pantry!
*Christmas blessings to all of you at Where Women Cook”

I loved the bios featured on your site and the tips - especially the whipped cream tip from Serena.
I like the s’more cakes recipe you have posted. My daughter and think they are cute and want to try it. Thanks for the lovely giveaway and happy holidays!
I loved all the posts, but my favorite one is about Serena’s home and her ability to get fruit and vegetables at and around her house. We are in the process of buying a house on a lake and included is 3 acres of land that has a few blueberry bushes, plum trees and fig trees. We will also have raised beds and a small chicken coup. And of course there is fish in the lake to catch. I am so excited about my family being able to enjoy fresh things that we will work and produce from the land!! Serena’s post inspires, encourages and excites me even more about this adventure we are about to undertake.
Thanks so much for this wonderful giveaway. What a wonderful Christmas present!!
Blessings,
Robin

Hello! Hot Chocolate Cupcakes Baby! Also, love learning more about Serena.
I just found your site linked over from Farm Chicks…Love It! I have been in the market for a mixer and the whole prize package looks like a lot of fun!
Serenas pantry makes me smile too-I love its order and whimsy; and since I have a few weeks off for Christmas, I think I’ll try to fix my pantry up so it’ll make me smile too. But what would really make me smile is that KitchenAid mixer! If I won that mixer I’d toss my circa 1978 avocado green hand mixer with the plastic attachments in the trash and really get to mixin with that fancy one. Oh the things I would mix…Thanks for the fabulous giveaway!
Okay, so I’m officially hungry after checking out this blog! The individual spaghetti pies are something I have never thought of but can’t wait to try, and the hot chocolate cupcake cups would be a great dessert after the spaghetti. My mouth is watering! Thanks!
Serena’s S’morecakes look delicious! Also, I love her simple farmhouse lifestyle & have to check her blog often to see what’s happening.

Thanks so much for offering this. I am new to this website, but my mixer died about a week ago and I went to CVS to buy another- ugh, no good, but Christmas is upon us and I try my best. Hope to win something better. Merry Merry! Deb
There’s something so intimate with getting to know someone via the kitchen. Maybe it’s because all the family recipes and heritage, or the passion for food, but it’s been fabulous getting recipes and tips. (And to find a new blog to follow!)

I learned that they have a magazine. I just found this site-looks intriguing.

It’s been said, but it’s oh-so-true — seeing that gorgeously stocked and organized pantry kind of changed my life. I’ve already begun the process of moving and reorganizing - realizing now how preposterous some of my old organization methods were.
And, boy, those pantry labels would sure be helpful… =]
But, really, thanks for the great giveaway! Good luck, all!
I loved Serena’s pantry!!!
I just tweeted and my kitchen aid just broke.

My favorite has been the tips for recipe hoarders!! I am doing it! So far I’ve got all of my recipes grouped by topic (eggs, desserts, holiday, etc.) with each topic in a separate sleeve. It could take a Very long time to get each in it’s own sleeve!
Hands down, my favorite post of the past week was the tip on how to keep your whipped cream from separating. It makes sense in a way after I thought about it, but I probably never would have! I will definitely be doing this for Christmas goodies this year!
I tweeted about this too!

Love the site…but my most favorite thing was finding the phyllo-wrapped Brie recipe. One of my girlfriends made this for a bunch of us not once but twice during a retreat a couple of years ago. I got her recipe and then list it. Got it again…and lost it. I was too embarrasses to ask for it again. So thank you for saving me embarrassment AND helping me recreate something that has fond memories attached to it.

I love read or your tips and tricks and love the story on The Farm Chicks, I have tried getting the The Farm Chicks Christmas book but it seems it’s sold out in some place waiting to be restocked…so some hits would be great where too….arrr the Kitchen aid I have dreamt of owning one of these for about three years now, I’m still using my nanna handheld one, christmas time is hard to make all my handmade gifts with it as I have to do one batch at a time…lol…I also normally make 30 to 40 large gingerbread house’s every year to sell and to give away…but sadley I didn’t this year as using that tiny little handheld mixer wouldn’t cope with the pressure anymore so gingerbread house …one day I will own one of those beautiful mixer, and baking will be lot more easier…lol great giveaway…love reading evrything here!
