It started out as a contest to find the story of your life in a pie but, it turned into so much more. The overwhelming response to our Pieography contest was truly inspiring. We were all in awe of the amazing stories behind the pie. It makes that last bite of pie even more satisfying knowing the story behind it.
Where Women Cook Editor-in-Chief, Jo Packham, wanted to share the exciting news of Pieography with you:
PIEGORAPHY
Pieography is a new cookbook with a new design for storytelling.
“Pieography” is the biography of a woman’s life told through the ingredients that create a slice – a taste – of her life in a pie. Savory, bitter, or richly appointed; simple and sweet or messy and gooey these pages tell her story through more than words.
We are pleased to announce that PIEOGRAPHY is completed and will be on the newsstands September 1, 2012. We would like to thank everyone who submitted pies and piegoraphys for inclusion … your response was more than we had ever anticipated!
The pieographys were read, the pies tested by our experienced pie maker and tasted by our panel of judges. The decisions that had to be made in regards to who would be included in the book and who would be the recipient of the prize were difficult ones … at best.
The winner of the PIEOGRAPHY contest is: Krys Kirkpatrick for her Creamy Carrot Pie with Crunchy Graham Cracker Crust, Whipped Rum Cream, & Candied Pecans.

Again, thank you all for your support of all that we do at WHERE WOMEN COOK. As I say over and over again, there would be no “us” without all of you!
My best always,
Jo
