Sunday Brunch: a 1/2 food blog (maameemoomoo)

Welcome back to another week of Sunday Brunch, that time of the week where we shine a little Internet love on a food blogger that has caught our eye. At the end of the quarter, our Editor-in-Chief, Jo Packham, will be selecting one of these lovely women featured here weekly to be in an upcoming issue of Where Women Cook. (Yes, we are announcing the winners of both giveaways at the end of this post, but let’s give you some yummy food to salivate over first! )

I love all food, but my favorite flavors in food are usually Asian. This week’s Sunday Brunch  feature is a blog called ‘a 1/2 food blog’. (Her url is cute: maameemoomoo.com)

I’m not actually sure of her name (*Update: She emailed me so I know her name now! It’s “Sheri Lee”), but she is listed on Twitter as ^cherie. She lives in Singapore, is married and has three adorable boys, and confesses to being a perfectionist when it comes to “relationship & marriage and the yummies she bakes, cooks and decorates + photographs”.

Her recipes and photography speak for themselves:

Donna Hay’s Christmas Fruit Cake (I loved this post because it was done way after Christmas, which I can relate to. I also loved it because, like me, she hates fruitcake as well, but we both think this looks AMAZING)

Vietnamese Papaya Salad – Delicious Vietnam (I am not a fan of Papaya, but I would totally eat this.)

Pumpkin Cream with Vanilla Ice Cream and Toasted Sliced Almonds (Have you ever seen a more intriguing use of pumpkin?)

Chicken Rendang (She has a beef recipe for this as well, but I confess to thinking the chicken would make me drool…)

Red Bean Bun (Note the background. It kills me.)

Plum Galette (I have recently had a love affair with plums, and I love that she uses them often in her recipes.)

Chocolate & Almond Meringue Cake (I think that the cake looks amazing but I ADORE the thought of making cupcakes (or even minis) out of this.)

Slow Pork with Soya Beans & Star Anise (This? Is just gorgeous.)

She makes some YUMMY sounding and looking stuff, no? I encourage all of you to swing by her blog. It’s a lovely way to spend some Internet time!

I hope you are all having a LOVELY Sunday!

xo,

Loralee
