I confess to being a bit sad that this is the last day of our feature with Chiara and her beautiful cooking school on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. It has been such a lovely week, full of love, sun, food. I so hope to make it to her gorgeous country someday to give Mamma a great big hug (and eat a tomato or two!) .
Welcome to our family kitchen! During our cooking classes, we invite our guests to join us in the kitchen and share our passion for cooking simple and genuine food – with love! As our family has grown and changed over the years, one of the comforting things has been knowing that our family kitchen has seen us along our journey each and every step of the way. My mother, known affectionately as “Mamma Agata,” has shared her passion for cooking Simple and Genuine recipes with our entire family and has spent a lifetime cooking and sharing her love of the traditional recipes of the Amalfi Coast. Cooking and enjoying meals together is a family event in our home. And as we continue on this voyage through life, it’s nice to know the kitchen is there, and will always be the place we return to.

My mother now cooks side-by-side with my husband, Gennaro Petti, who is a passionate cook and professional Sommelier. Gennaro has loved cooking since he was a young boy when he cooked alongside his mother beginning when he was 8 years old. Their cooking styles and unique experiences compliment one another perfectly, and Gennaro has learned all of Mamma Agata’s many cooking secrets. It must be simple, fresh and cooked with love!
The newest members of our kitchen family are our two beautiful children, Mario and Paola. They are the next generation to share our passion for cooking, and we look forward to seeing where their paths will lead them in life.
Our entire family would like welcome you in our family kitchen with open arms in celebrating our love for a simple and genuine (and passionate!) way of life – cooking – friendship – culture – what is ours is yours, and we would love you to visit us and share our passion as often as possible!
