I’m so sad that we’re ending our week with Cheryl Day. She and her bakery are FABULOUS. I so want to visit her divine bakery. In fact, I am sitting here trying to figure out how far it is from Atlanta to Savannah. Because I’m going there a couple of times over the next couple of months. I’ll totally let you know if I can pull it off!
) Cheryl has a new cookbook coming out and she’s sent some photos from it and a few ‘behind the scene’ shots. Photography can make or brake a cookbook and I love taking a peek into some things that go on during cookbook and food photography…it’s fascinating stuff how food photos are staged.
One of the most challenging and rewarding experiences that has been keeping me busy (and slightly overwhelmed) these days is writing our very first cookbook.
Our book Back in the Day Baking is due out next Spring with Artisan books. I wanted to share some of the behind the scenes fun and a sneak peek into the daily beauty
that surrounds me at Back in the Day Bakery every day. We just wrapped up the photography which was shot right in the bakery by the very talented Squire Fox using our wonderful natural light.

Amazing photos! You and your team have such a good taste.
